Spiritual awakening for skeptics

Good science is logical and experiential. Pantheistic moral discourse informed most of my early spirituality. Both of these mental disciplines can stabilize an awakening.

Science blog.

The main reason I decided to start writing about my awakening is because I still work full-time as a scientist. I realized if anyone underwent the same experience they would unnecessarily repeat my struggles to integrate the two worlds unless I communicated them.

This is simply bad science. While I don’t currently have the resources to prove what happened to me in a way that can influence scientists, I can at least report my progress in a way that can be utilized later on in designing experiments.

If a scientist is forced to traverse the divine unexpectedly, there are some classic difficulties they will undergo as a part of their conditioning. I can also make these philosophical differences less extreme.

A sixth sense cannot make up for a total lack of common sense.

Science resources.

I collected lots of these resources prior to my awakening (they laid the groundwork for my awakening). I’m a snob about my science (huge fan of metaresearch) and so I’m very comfortable with the epistemological limits of science.

I am generally disappointed in the quality of scientific investigations of psi, and skeptical whether there is any need to “prove” spirituality. As far as I can tell spirituality is a priori . It contains, and is in congruence with science and logic rather than vice versa.

I’ve limited this collection to simple studies and accounts by scientists that help bridge the gap between spiritual awakening and scientific theory. There is no conflict between the two, one must simply understand how rationalism and spirituality intersect.
