Uplift War - David Brin

This is the third book in a trilogy by David Brin, a futurist so accurate I’m certain he’s channeling whether he’s consciously aware of it or not.

The whole trilogy is great but this book can be read as a standalone topic. Brin’s depiction of the alien species Timbrimi and their “glyph” communication is an almost perfect description of how communication with spirit can be a clever and nuanced constant-running commentary overlaying reality for a psychic or medium.
